Can't destroy barbarian camps
Hi! Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? So, I've found a barbarian camp, destroyed all their units, then sent my combat unit onto the camp tile to capture/destroy it and... nothing happens. My unit just stands there, and the camp keeps producing units. Is it connected with the fact that I enabled that regime where you can negotiate with barbarians? But the "negotiation" options are very weird, basically you can just give them money.

This caught me too when I first played that barbarian mode. Your unit doesn't automatically destroy the camp upon entering, true.. Look on your unit's box on lower right of screen: there will be two additional small action buttons. One is to destroy the camp per usual, the other is to raid but not destroy the camp for some gold. So you have the option to let them stick around and eventually become a city state, or just farm gold from them every 10 turns.

Yes, you can hire mercenaries from them and pay them to attack another faction. But Being unable to wipe them out still makes no sense, cause they just keep attacking me and I can't do anything about it.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

This is correct, I'd like to add that if you select the second option, the camp will immediately spawn 2 new units and kick you off the tile, so be careful it can leave you vulnerable.
