Game font is far too small

The font for UI text in this game is far too small; something like a size 4 font. There appears to be no settings to increase font size.
The game is pretty much unplayable with the tiny font and I'm wondering if it's possible to change font size or if Firaxis has just overlooked this.
If it is possible to increase font size, could someone on here please explain how to do it. Thanks

I not infrequently see this complaint but do not understand it I am nearing my mid 70's and my vision is no where near what it once was but I have no trouble at all with the font. I want to know what is going on here my self.

This game was written back when computers had much lower-res screens. 1080p was effectively the maximum resolution, and many folks still used lower resolutions than that.

If you're having an issue with the font size (and you have a modern high-res screen), try backing the game's resolution down a bit.

Thanks very much guys, so I'll try it on a lower resolution to see if that fixes it, then I'll try the mod if I need to.
I'm looking forward to being able to play this game again
