Seriously, even silence is better

I really like it. You know it changes depending on the era and the civs in play?

Seriously, most of them are bad, even though some are okeyish. some of them are just outright garbage.
A far cry from Civ 5 btw.

I agree that some of them are not enjoyable at all. So I find out which civ they belong to and then never play against that civ again. Problem solved.

Music is the least of the problems with this game, in fact it is one of its few good features.
The problem isn't the music per-se.

The problem is that the game somehow will play the same 3-5 tracks for 90% of the game if you meet the civs that are attached to them. I mean, I love the Scottish music for Scotland, but if I meet Scotland on turn 60, it's like the next 140 turns are just a medley of 'Scotland the Brave' over and over. Which, again, it's a well-done composition for the game, but if that one track plays repeatedly, it's an issue.

The main fix to music in the game is to change the priorities so that more tracks play. Right now, Indonesia, Scotland, and a couple other civs seem to have their tracks prioritized such that the moment I meet them, I hear their music the rest of the game aside from leader screens. Which is a problem, because it reduces the variety of tracks greatly.

Agreed that 'Waltzing Matilda' assumes nightmarish qualities by his 50th repetition too, but generally Civ's music is both well-researched and well-performed. Maybe just address the frequency?

I turn all Civ sounds off and listen to "Two Steps From Hell" or similar. As people have said listening to the same tune over and over gets old fast.
We know no Civ will ever beat Baba Yetu. But Civ VI's songs are a special kind of bad. Always monotone and no era style musics. Big thumbs down

Six’s music changes throughout the eras.

I just checked out Civ 5 soundtrack really quickly just to make sure it wasn't my memory playing tricks on me.
But nope, no doubt, Civ5's was several order of magnitude better, really amazing OST.

In comparison 6's are repetitive, simplistic, mostly annoying, and let's be honest, not one but several of them are just acoustic diarhea.

I haven\t played civ with the volume on since test of time. I don't pay extra for music channels on TV for nothing.
