It is possible to force the turn to end (hold <shift> and press <enter>), but it would probably be best for you to give your units orders first. If you click on the end turn button while it is a "!" the game will zoom you to the next unit that needs orders if you cannot find it yourself. The end turn button will similarly change to other icons to represent other actions that you might need to take before ending your turn, like setting a research priority, deciding what to build in a city, or whatever else, and similarly you can click on the button to be taken where you need to go to make that decision or take that action.
Once there seems to be nothing left for you to do on your turn the end turn button will change to the actual end turn button, and then you can click it to end your turn. (Alternatively, you can set your turns to end automatically in that situation, to save yourself that last click. I don't personally recommend that, but the choice is available if you prefer that behavior.)
Edit: Actually, the leader you are using is Dido, who requires Gathering Storm, so the rules set may not be the problem. Are you using any mods?
