Me too! The in-game volume is fine cause at least we can adjust it, but the intro cinematic crap is literally 300% the volume of everything else in the game.
Don't understand why they think this is okay. It literally HURTS my ears if I'm wearing a headset or earbuds. NO EXCUSE.
It's not the video that's the problem, because there's an option to disable it.
The company logos are what's wrong; they're STUPID LOUD and no easy way to bypass them.
Ah, gotcha. But I have to admit I've also turned off the music and turned down the volume overall. There isn't really much point to listening to Civ VI at all after a while; I have TV / radio / podcasts running while I play the game. This game pairs extremely well with either historical documentaries or international news broadcasts. ;)
Go to Base\Platforms\Windows\Movies in the Civ 6 folder and delete logos.bk2 and Firaxis somethingorother .bk2. Game will skip to the licencing screen and then to the main menu.
Omg, thank you!
It's such a shame that the devs won't fix it and it needs to be resolved this way, lmao.
Arguably there isn't anything to fix. Some companies want their logo to be loud as hell. Like the sound effects company THX. They don't HAVE to have that obnoxious stinger, but they do.
Works well, especially when combined with the in-game option to skip the intro video.
Okay, and? Not sure what the point of your post is...
Sounds a lot easier, thank you! Added it to my Civ 6 collection, lol.
Exactly.
And to be clear for everyone interested, the mod I posted a link to does not bypass the launcher, you still need to do the bypass command to do that.
