Appoptions.txt doesn't exist

I'm trying to change some settings that don't appear in game but are in appoptions.txt. For some reason, I do not have that file, regardless of looking in either my Documents folder or %appdata% folder.

I have yet to play a game but have started the client.

Any idea how I can find this file?

It was moved with the last patch to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI

Edit: AppData is a hidden file, so you may have to change the setting to view hidden files.

I don't have the local folder unfortunately, so the file doesn't exist here either.
There is a "fireaxislive" folder, but it's only a few system files.

Are you sure that some folders/files are not hidden?
