Winning too fast! Civ 1 Play Style?

First I had to disable Diplomatic Victory, and now I gotta disable Cultural Victory. Maybe my next Game I should just disable all but Domination, Science & Score Victory & play Civilization 1 style...well as far as Win conditions go.

Speaking of Civ 1 Play Style, has anyone actually tried that? Playing with the settings to have conditions similar to earlier Civilization Games on Civ 6 here?

You can do that...
Or you can just rise the difficulty level.
Guessing you're playing solo, if you win by accident, you just play at a difficulty level lower than your level, so the bots can't produce enough diplo favors/tourism to compete with you. Try Emperor or Immortal. At these levels, you can still win easily of course (bots are still bots), but you can't win by accident no more.

Cultural victory has always been the biggest slog for me as far as win conditions go.

Yeah my latest play style with victories I disabled all but Science, Domination & Score. After all, in the beginning(Civ1), there were those three conditions. Hell I haven't even tried that yet but I could even try removing City States

There is no “SoD,” “cartesian grid,” “simplified cities,” “road spaghetti,” or “cities must be garrisoned” settings in vanilla Six — and the games have more differences than those.

I know. When you take the features that are built into Civ 6, it's hard to get the True Civ 1 feel. Unless there was a Workshop DLC that was made by someone that I haven't found yet...

Would if I could but I can't so I won't. Even if I still had the game after all this time, my Desktop lacks 3 1/2 Floppy Drives. Not to mention, I'd probably have Compatibility issues playing a Dos Game on a Windows 10 machine & the hoops I'd have to jump through to make it work.

Exactly I thought there was a game before Civilization 1. I remember buying a game for my Commodore 64. The catalog I got had a game call Civilization. The image was a black screen with white text.

FWiW, the first game is simply Civilization. They weren’t numbered till Two.
