2K account offline...

I don't know why the 2K icon has turned gray, so I cannot use the bonus content. After checking a lot of information, I found that this problem even existed at least two years ago. I tried 2k customer service but it is incredibly slow, is there nothing more we players can do? I really hope someone got a solution

I can't say if this is your problem, but like all online services, the 2K servers do go down from time to time. I had this issue right when the Julius Caesar DLC came out, possibly because the servers were overworked from too many users trying to log in. Now that we're in the holiday period between Christmas and New Year's, load from an above-average number of people with time to game is probably a factor again.

If this is the case, the servers will probably be up and down intermittently this week, as they work through the load. You'll be able to log in eventually at some point.

Eventually, after struggling with customer service for days I managed to solve the problem.

I believe this is a strange bug between 2k and steam, because logging into the 2k website with my steam account showed "create your 2k account", so I created a 2k account with a new email address, and then logged into this new 2k account to find that the steam account was unlinked. However, when I used this account to link my steam account again, it showed that the steam account had been linked to another 2K account. It's a dead loop, and it's the wrong 2k account that keeps my 2k icon grayed out (no response when I click on it).

For those players who, like me, initially had a normal 2k icon but gray out after a while, to solve this problem: go to the 2k website and try to log in with steam to see if you got the same problem as me. If so, please contact 2k support and describe the problem you are experiencing. You should be able to unbind steam with their help. Then try to register a 2k account and bind your steam on the official website .

For players who have not yet registered a 2k account, to receive the Cat Scout and Caesar dlc: please DO NOT register 2k account within the game, as this will definitely lead to the above mentioned problem. The correct way is to go to the 2k official website to register your account, and then bind with steam.
