Julius Ceasar's ability isnt working for me

After raiding a barbarian outpost as Ceasar I didnt get the +100 payout. I'm playing with Barbarian clans, maybe that why. Anyone else have the same?

As Julius Caesar you get the gold (amount depending on chosen game speed) for raiding, not dispersing barbarian outposts, what should work as intended.

It's working fine for me as Julius Ceasar. I get 390 gold from raiding Barbarian camps on Marathon.

In Barbarian Clans mode, Caesar only gets the gold when "getting" gold from the camp. If you disperse it, you won't get anything from it because you didn't get any original gold. This means you should find an outpost and set a few military units around it to raid them every 10 turns. Be wary of others trying to disperse them however.

This is a good strategy to build up some gold until the camp starts pumping out not only more units, but more advanced units as well. Maybe this is dependent on game difficulty, speed and variables (I use Zombie defense mode), but I have seen two advanced barb units (sometimes uniques) and a Zombie appear as soon as you raid the camp. Time to retreat.
