I mean, if you're wanting the application to determine its optimal settings based on your specs, Civ V did at least default itself to the settings that met that criteria.
Would be cool to see that again with Civ6.
For people wanting to try the civ5 benchmark, there is a Word document in your Civ5 installation folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V <-- default path) that is named: Civilization 5 Benchmark modes.doc
Read that to try and use the benchmark tool.
