They may be completely NDAd until that date, and partially NDAd after that.

Possibly, but that would mean the Hype Train running out of steam before it reached the station. They need something to keep us tuned in every week.

Well they can always show some more gameplay and future DLCs like Poland and Isabella of Spain. Or Gorgo for Greece. Just saying.

With only 2 more civs left, the most likely civ to join the game are: Russia is almost sure, Summeria has been called too, Arabic civ also has preditic and Poland looks to be know also who will be the leader. With all that said, Russia is pretty much 100% sure to be in the base game and i belive Summeria will be too. The rest will be DLCs

Arabia, Sumeria and Russia were all present in the leak, so those are the three civs that remain to be announced. Jadwiga, Poland's leader, wasn't present in the leak, so it's likely Poland will come later as a DLC. Gorgo, however, was present in the leak, so they might reveal the multiple leaders per civ soon.

2 or 3; I've not seen confirmation as to whether the Aztecs count towards the 18.

I'd say three, considering that the leak included the leaders for Arabia, Russia and Sumeria.

i don't think arabia has ever had a female leader, for various complicated reasons

True they never had one, but it will be nice to see an Arab Queen in as an Alternative leader. In the Arab world back for centuries, Arab women were raised to be Housewives while men are the providers and the man of the house.

i don't have an opinion about how nice it is for a country to have female leaders, i only care if they were notable historical figures that did great things

Yes I really meant to not throw my opinion at you, If there is every a Female Leader for Arabia she would have to do something great to get the eye of Flixaris to implement her in the game.

Honestly just me but I'm fairly happy with most of the leader choices. Even if some are odd ball. I think the only ones that missed the mark are France (Napolean or get out) and Egypt, since Cleopatra wasn't really of Eyptian heritage, just Rome by proxy.

And I pick those two, and it seems like I'm saying I want less female leaders. I really don't, I like having female leaders on the game. I wish we were getting Catherine instead of Peter but Peter is a good choice, and I wish we were getting Isabella for Spain, even though she was my nemesis in Civ 4.
'
Really though when it comes down to it, the only civ I feel MUST be a female leader is England, as two of their most notable leaders have been females. To do otherwise on England would definitely be missing a mark having a female leader.

One thing to add to the whole male/female leader, I do hope we get Boudica for the Celts when (if) they come, and on the other hand I really hope they don't go with anyone but Hannibal for Carthage this time around. Giving it to someone else in Civ 5 was mind boggling, and when it comes down to it, the only leader choice that made no sense at all to me.

there really isnt anty famous male celt leaders, so bouddiccia is a must imo. I agree with you on france not the best choice imo. and as for egypt i would prefer hapsetshut or nerfertiti (though that would be a stretch)

They don't, because that was the only way the leader screen in the Civilopeida leak added up.

The 'og' leader leak from the first look contained a picure of Isabella of Portugal, a regent of Spain. Now that Gorgo is more or less confirmed, that makes it pretty probable that Spain is also going to get a second leader soon. However, its more likely to be the other Isabella, since, there's precedent for it simply being a google search flub with Montezuma, and Isabella of Portugal didn't do much that was remarkable.

Well, considering that the term 'Celts' includes a huge number of tribes and cultures, I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a good male leader for them. Just off the top of my head, I could name Vercingetorix (the king who united the Gauls against Caesar) as a possible canidate, and I'm sure someone who actually studied the history (unlike me :P) could list a few more.

A quck bit of internet research suggests Sitt al-Mulk, though she died 2 years into being in charge (some of which was as regent at least), and is most known for trying to reconcile with Byzantium and persecuting the Druze.
