Civ VI = Clash of Clans?
So this is just Clash of Clans but on PC then? Judging by the graphics and how simple the gameplay will probably be this will be playable on iPad....

Not a bad thing I guess, just thought maybe they would compete with the actual strategy games out there.

Is the mobile gaming boom to blame for this?

Yawn, at least be original....
So judging by your judgment League of Legends = Clash of Clans; World of Warcraft=Clash of Clans.

What do you mean? If you're tired you should get some rest.

That makes no sense.
judging whole game by three screenshots does not make sense indeed.
I dont like the look. Imagine dota3, reskinned everything to childish levels. Then argueed that the core mechanics are the same and to stop complaining.

to be fair, who wouldnt want a clash of civs spin off for mobiles, so we never have to stop civving even when commuting, pooping or making love.

Someone did a side-by-side comparison, and they didn't look anything alike.

Maybe you're thinking of the Clash of Clans TV ads?
Not that it matters as I'm sure this is pure trolling but, here:

Idk maybe thats what I'm thinking of, the screenshots are what reminded me of the mobile game and the art style similarities.

To everyone who keeps saying im trolling...are we not allowed to make comparisions in Steam forums anymore? I wasn't even being negative, Clash of Clans is one of the most succesful and profitable mobile games in existence...so not a bad thing that people compared them...

Just hoping Civ VI is more in depth and less of a mobile/iPad type game. :)

The thing about that is that Firaxis has already released some details about Civ6 that are clear indications of it being more complex than its predecessor with increased city management and improvements to the AI. The pendelum appears to be swinging one way and a certain group of people are insisting that it's swinging the other direction; all based on the visual style the development team chose to go with.

No. It only means that there will be a perfectly intelligible map, will not need to enable the icon display, or point mouse over to understand what building/resource/terrain it's.

Everyone remembers the miasma and how often you get in in it (civ:beyond earth)

Then why are they taking our money now? That makes no sense, buying something we don't know nothing about?

They are not 'taking' your money, they gave you the choice to buy a product before release. That's what pre-orders are meant to be. It does not mean they are going to give you the game or show you everything at once.

Yeah I learned my lesson time and time again to never pre-order games anymore.

Sure it may give a couple in-game items or some gimmick, but it will be DLC within a week. Happens with every big release, there is really no reason to pre order anymore with how often devs tend to screw gamers over releasing terrible buggy messes that are miles from the hype train. Not saying this company has done that in my experience, but it's becoming a trend in the AAA gaming world (Ubisoft, EA etc.) - rather just wait and see how it really is. :)

Thats just my opinion though, still putting the game on my wishlist and will see how it turns out after release as I am a casual fan of Civ IV and V.

Thanks for the discussion guys, got the answers I was needing.

Cheers, happy Wednesday :)
