So one would ask what this game brings new to the table, they charge for it like it's a new gen mmo shooter with breaking new gamplay mechanics ... But it's just a fail little andoid game.
People keep focusing on the individual units. Look at the screens as a whole and they're beautiful.
And it's not just children that like vibrant color. That's why pigments were extremely valuable commodities in the past before synthetics were developed. Only liking dull, desaturated colors in your video games doesn't make you more adult.
I think this really boils down to "people don't like change". It's not what they're used to and so they are resisting it and trying to argue that things need to go back to the way they were before.
And the art direction doesn't have any bearing on the complexity of the gameplay. As I mentioned in another post - streamlining gameplay isn't the same thing as "dumbing down". If the game becomes inarguably easier to *beat* then people can complain, but if it's merely easier to pick up and get into the game the first time that's no cause for concern.
If it looks like a free to play android game it's because the developers meant it to look that way.
Of cuase if the game is no longer complex, then yeah, the art design is fitting.
I wouldn't know. I don't play any mobile games and never looked at the store.
Siderant - I'm one of those weird people who is irritated that you can't get a real moblie phone anymore.. all you can get are these stupid handheld computers with phone apps. In the old days you could just open it up and dial! On real buttons!
Maybe the lack of expose to F2P mobile games is why this doesn't bother me. I have no unfounded prejudices against the graphics style.
One thing I noticed is that the ship is casting 2 shadows. One on the surface of the water and one on the sea floor itself.
Love it.
Yep, reminds me of Warhammer. The units look like something a Golden Demon winner would have painted. Utterly beautiful.
And pardon me if I'm just not bothered by the pyramids being "too big" when the units aren't to scale either.
im no swordspert (?) but im pretty sure that swords like that were actually in use at some point in history. so i dont quite see the problem.
