i Could say Civ5, but here is few problems...I didnt liked global happines and 1 unit per tile system, also that science = populiaton. Should be science = currency, like in the Civ4

5 with all the expansions is the best so far (gameplay), although 2 had the best wonder movies and I liked 2's advisors. It also used real photos and pictures for the civilopaedia. I liked all those things from 2 and personally I'd like to see their return.

Im still playing CivlV. I like some of the things they did with CivV but it just never grabbed ahold of me the same way CivlV did.

4 was great all around... except the combat, which was simply awful.
I miss corporations :(

Tough to choose between 3 and 4. I spent more time playing Civ 3 than any other game I've ever played. I loved the music and that I could build outposts with workers to get strategic resources outside of my territory. It was the first to have cultural boundaries that allowed you to flip cities.

4 was wonderful too but, unlike the previous poster, I thought corporations were a bad, bad feature and spoiled the overall experience a bit.

So, I'd say 3 but only just.

Civ 5 is undeniably the most popular but that doesn't make it the best.

Civ V, after and ONLY after both expansion are taken into the equation. The base game of Civ V was by far and none the worst entry into the series.
