New Leader Pass Problem FIXED

Problem: Civ 6 and All DLCs separately purchased but not able to install Leader Pass.

Solution:
1. Go to Leader pass page on steam store
2. Add to cart
3. Add any game that costs money to cart
4. Purchase both items
5. Restart steam.
6. Launch Civ.
7. Leader Pass now installed.
8. Request refund for other title if you don't want to keep it.

I got the leader pass and Caesar without any workaround. Check if you're running any mods and old saved files and disable/remove them. Then uninstall and reinstall. That should solve the problem.

I bet it has nothing to do with that. I was having a clean install of the game and all dlc on Steam, but Steam simply doesn't let me buy the product (that cost zero dollar in my case since I already owned all previous dlc). Only the above solution worked for me buy adding something to my Steam cart that cost money as well. It's a Steam store problem, not game related.

Give them money they're not entitled to for a product you don't want in order to get the free product you're entitled to? Might be the stupidest workaround I've ever heard of and I could not even imagine conceiving it in the first place.

I've sent a ticket to Steam support, maybe a new avenue is gonna open up cause I'd really prefer if I didn't have to buy anything else ontop

As of this writing, the "Add to Account" button on the Anthology (which appears if you have all other DLC and the price is $0.00) still pops the following message:

"There was a problem adding this product to your account. Please try again later."

Steam support simply redirects you to 2K support, which may be reasonable but still feels to me like walking into a store and being unable to pay for something and being told "I'm sorry sir, the store can't do anything about your purchase, please contact the manufacturer."

I'm sure they'll have it fixed soon. But what a terrible introduction to a new Pass/DLC.

There can be potentially lots of reasons why it doesn't work. I'm just suggesting you try this before clicking the buy button. If you already bought all DLCs separately, it's no different at least from a purchase perspective from someone like me who got the Anthology since I too cannot repurchase for the same account. Or maybe it's a technical issue that exists as a result of getting all DLCs separately vs the Anthology.

If you have to pay real money for a separate product to get a product from a different vendor that is supposed to be FREE that is not a "fix". I shouldn't have to go to Safeway to get my free coffee from the Exxon gas station.
