Every DLC for Civ VI has been released at 12:00 PM (noon) EST.

This DLC might be different, but probably not.
wargamesmaster Nov 20, 2022 @ 8:00pm
Which means a 9H00 pm release for people living in my country, "great"...
grognardgary Nov 20, 2022 @ 8:26pm
Somebody has to finish last
白猪骑士 Nov 20, 2022 @ 9:02pm

You have to know where the game developers/publishers are to know what time it is released. Also you need to know their timezone and your timezone.
Janfin Nov 20, 2022 @ 9:27pm
I think i read somewhere that is 10am PT so in 12hours 30mins
SLG Nov 20, 2022 @ 10:28pm
2K Games is in California. So that is the Pacific Timezone. I am 2 hours ahead California.

Example:

California - 1 PM
Me - 3 PM

The problem is i dont see any info related to timezone. It's terrible. As the developers of a game which is supposed to be culturally inclusive, they just assume every player on earth lives in their timezone.

"*Julius Caesar will be delivered automatically in-game on November 21 at 10am PT. Offer available until November 24, 2024. " < From their official website.

Agreed, it's little effort for the devs to include it. But, it's also little effort on our parts to check it out. Just go to https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html (I just used a search engine and typed 'time zone converter'), and enter the two time zones.

1) Pacific Time (or simply PT)
2) Your time zone (or a city nearby)

For CET it means the pass will drop around 7 pm. According to the website, that's:

Albania
Andorra
Austria
Belgium
Bosnia-Herzegovina
Croatia
Czech Republic
Denmark (mainland)
France
Germany
Gibraltar
Holy See/Vatican City
Hungary
Italy
Kosovo
Liechtenstein
Luxembourg
Macedonia, Republic of
Malta
Monaco
Montenegro
Netherlands (mainland)
Norway
Poland
San Marino
Serbia
Slovakia
Slovenia
Spain - except Canary Islands, which are on WET/WEST
Sweden
Switzerland

Thx for the info, bro. I was digging all over the game's steam page. I didnt go to check their website. Thanks again. Hope 2k will realize that they have fans worldwide someday.

It's not a 2k thing, it's a Steam thing. 99% of games release at the same time on Steam during the daily store update. To release at a different time requires getting permission from Valve and requires doing some extra actions for the developers to make things work, which most developers have no interest in doing. If developers don't state a specific release time somewhere prominently then it probably means the game is releasing at the standard Steam release time, and the developers assume customers are somewhat aware of how the store they purchased the game from works.

Usually on the store page, you will see a count down.. It does not always appear on everything.

You all sound so eager but shouldn't you hang back for awhile and see the effects of connecting 2K to your precious Steam accounts? Sounds like a cavalry brigade charging into a row of pikes thinking "this will yield a good result". It's like getting an untested vaccine before hearing of its effects. Or being the first people to land on Mars in a Tesla space shuttle on a one-way trip. A tiny freebie with a potentially unlimited cost that comes later. Perhaps there will be no cost to you, but you should consider what is the motivation for 2K to give away their first ever "free content" to get their unscrupulous paws on your Steam accounts?

Is 1,5 year of "testing" good enough for you? April 2021 release gave you the option to link your 2k and Steam account to gain access to the Scout Cat DLC.

That said, maybe people have considered and deemed it worth it. You assume a lot in your message, and not everything is based on correct premises.

On my Civ6 page on Steam, the Activity feed has the banner for the livestream the devs did on 11/17. It says the drop time is 2PM ET, 11AM PT. Maybe they have changed it since, but 2PM ET is what they announced on 11/17.
