Civ VI release date

Hey people, Civ VI will come out in 10 days;
BUT, I need to know, when it's coming out, i mean, is that at noon ? Or the evening ?
I know i look like a nerd, we're doing a lan party for the occasion so the exact hour would be soooo nice :D

The precise unlock time has not been announced. Based on previous Firaxis releases, it seems likely to be a phased unlock in different parts of the world - they had three regions last time, I think, with Asia/Oceania getting it first, Europe/Africa second, Americas third.

I might be remembering Civ BE, but I thought it was global unlock. Oh well, we will find out.

I remember CIV:BE launching at 1am in the day of release in my time zone. Hopefully it will be the same with CIV:VI

Nope, BE was definitely not the same time everywhere. I was chatting with someone after playing for like 2-3 hours and I found out he had already been playing for like 7 hours because it unlocked earlier in his region.

Unlocks usually happen at 6pm here in the UK.

That's the Steam default. Major releases often vary it to give a midnight (or near it) unlock. As with the last couple of big Firaxis releases.

Amazon seems to have it as a midnight release.
