Greenmangaming isn´t a greymarket key seller....... they even have been official retailer for severall games like Elderscrolls Online or GuildWars2.
They´re totally legit and don´t take such a huge cut like Steam, but still they make profit..... you often get games cheaper at your local store (often 10-20€ cheaper than on steam and even have a hardcopy at the end).

The risk of buying from GMG as far as I can tell is primarily that you can't do standard steam refunds, and can't get GMG refunds after you activate the key. With the recent Firaxis games less than stellar release quality that is an important consideration before you do any pre-ordering from third party sites.

Yes, GMG are fine. Other sites have been mentioned and alluded to that are grey market sellers.

never.

have i had any issue with GmG. they are a fine outlet for games, and none of my purchased games from GmG have ever been "key revoked". they are a solid retailer, with decent support, not stellar.. but decent.

if you order from them.. you will get email conformation first.. and usually the key will be emailed the day of official release.. or, when preload is available.

the only issue you will have with purchase, (from GmG) is not being able to refund. so i would highly suggest, doing the research, watching the youtube lets plays, and making absolute sure it's what you want and are ok with the risk.

i know it can be kinda scary not buying from steam, when it comes to online keys, but rest assured.. GmG is legit.

Yes, there are a lot of legitimate sellers providing Steam keys, which they buy wholesale through normal channels. GMG is one of them, Amazon also, and often the web stores of brick and mortar retailers have key sales as well.

But some users have talked about getting the game from grey market resellers, and people have offered caution against that.

Anyone know how GmG does with getting preorder bonuses (even with a kind-of meh one here)? Are they keys they get on the day of release or do they actually count as a pre-order.

You will get the pre order bonus just as you would ordering from steam.

No difference

The only problem with GMG is that they sometimes give the preorder keys later than Steam. The good thing about GMG is that they have lower prices and the preorders can sometimes be bought even after launch.

I have heard that the keys get to GmG late but it hasn't happened to me.

Fallout 4 and Stellaris are games I recently purchased from GmG and got the key on the day of launch.

Those are pre-release copies that Firaxis gave out to people to do those videos/reviews to build hype and try to show that the game will actually work on release.

if you are worried about refunding -then just wait 2 or 3 days for the darn reviews before you purchase... pre ordering is not really worth it any more. remember the days when you bought a hard copy- only so many could be produced for sale at that time... digital download makes the point moot.

but really what i wanted to say is gmg is a legit site. :P
