That should work, provided you set the game to use the 820M.

It will not run fast or smooth, but it will run. Best to use strategic view and all graphic settings turned down.

Thanks for the advice Satoru. Bought this GTX 750 Ti Graphic Card (Ready Plug-In) for about $110 online at New Egg.com. It got here in about 2 days. I don't know much about computers; but I looked at a youtube video for assistance. Plugged it into my Gateway 4860. Closed it back up. Downloaded most current Drive from NVidia website. Rebooted. Double-clicked Civ VI. It came right up. Can play now. BOOM.

What about SLI configuration? My PC is equipped with 2 * GeForce GTX 260 in SLI mode and CIV VI fails on launch phase with an error message explaining that it doesn't detect any compatible grahical device.

It may be because that's a dx10 card.

As for multiple GPU's, I can't speak for SLI, but my PC has something similar to crossfire and I don't see much of a difference for better or worse whether it's on or off.

Because the 260 is below minimum requirements. You need a 4xx minimum. And putting two of them in your system, doesn't give more features.

If you have a hybrid graphic system - that is, integrated graphics as well as dedicated - you need to use the CCC to make sure it runs on your dedicated GPU.

Also, those drivers sound pretty old.

No, the game would run very poorly it wouldn't be worth it.

No, it won't run on an 8800. That doesn't have hardware DX11 support.

the minimum specs call for an i3 at 2.5ghz.

you could probably still run the game, but frame rate and the wait times between turns will be brutal.
