early access maybe now is plausible now that we have the requirements?

sid has been quoted as not being a fan of early access, it is unlikely.
I dont understand this at all. My Packard Bell Pentium 90Mhz Multimedia Computer is ready for early access as was promised by poeple on this forum. What happened?

Operating System
(etc)

You will be able to run it, but yes, the graphics is very low for CIV VI. You would be struggling for frame rate.

Your best bet would be, if you are definitely set to buy Civilization VI, to maybe wait to see if 2K release a demo of Civ VI post launch. Test to see how it runs. Or, find a game that requires roughly this spec that is already out thats very cheap and see how that game runs.

If I were you and are thinking of getting into more up-to-date games, to upgrade your system. I know it can be expensive, but it is sure worth it. You don't need the very top parts to play games on PC well. If you plan to play strategy games, they are mostly CPU and RAM based anyway.

If you want a suggestions for parts or info on anything PC based, I don't mind - I been into PC gaming and upgrading my rig for many years and can help :-)

Yeah, see, here's my dilemma. I can either upgrade my GPU right now, or wait until I get my tax returns back in early 2017 build a new system from scratch. The problem is, Civ VI comes out in October. So it's like, do I upgrade my GPU now, and maybe wait a bit longer into 2017 for a new system entirely? Or do I wait until early 2017 to scrap the system entirely, going a couple months without Civ VI?
Specs: i7-6700HQ @ 2.60 gHz

No Linux/macOS this time? Would be a shame!
They have publicly said that it will come to both, but not when.

That appears to meet the minimum requirements tidily, the only wrinkle being that it's an 'M' variant - it's hard to compare the mobile variants to the desktop ones.

You'll be able to start up and run Civ6, I think, it just might not perform very well, due to the sub-gaming model of GPU.
Well, I currently have 4GB of RAM while I otherwise meet or even exceed the Recommended specs. I'm getting 16GB of RAM in December so I guess it will be small maps until then. Or I buy the extra RAM earlier.

I have an Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB on a late 2013 mac. Can I run Civ 6?
And I know that Civ 6 has not been announced for Mac, but I know it will happen soon.

Actually I think they already announced it. But didn't give a time frame.
Yeah, that was what I meant to say. But I'm still wondering if the Iris Pro will work decently on Civ 6.
Laptop
i7 quad-core 4700HQ processor 2.4ghz
GPU:gtx 780m
Will I be able to run it smoothly with the highest settings??

Well I hope mine passes.

Windows 7 64 bit.
CPU: Athlon II X4 645
GPU: GeForce GTX 950 MSI Gaming 2GB Edition
Display: 1600x900
Ram: 14GB
Pretty sure that is within the minimums, CPU isn't hitting the recommended, though.

Well that's better than nothing if you asked me. ^^

Will my Laptop run it?

Intel i-7 core, 2.5 ghz dual core with turboboost up to 3.1
Nvidia Geforce 940m, 2 GB of dedicated vram
8 GB of RAM
Windows 10 with DX11
I don't think it will refuse to run, but I couldn't say how well it would run it with such a weak (if recent) GPU.

Thanks Sam. I think I will preorder, because I don't really care that much about graphics and I feel fine about turning them down all the way. Especailly considering the new civs art style isnt about graphic clarity, its more about design and detail. As long as my PC CAN run it, I'm down for buying it. I'm not one of those people who need 90 FPS at the highest graphics. 30 FPS at the lowest suits me just fine :)
