2022 still unable to join multiplayer games of friends and have friends join my multiplayer games. cannot connect

at this point what is there to say? both civ 6 AND 5 will not allow you to play/connect with friends after hours of troubleshooting and reading forums its pretty clear this is an insut to players and consumers everywhere. the fact a crucial and large part of the game is unplayable for so many years with nothing done makes me wonder if positive reviews on these halfbaked new games are bot posts.

Well there must be a large number of people doing it. I mean playing multi-player mode. I never use it. I use the hotseat mode.

I do not think Discord is where the game is played. Yes, you can link your Steam account which will show what games you are playing.

trust me discord cannot be open. if ALL else dosent work. its discord. 100 percent. it cannot be open to join. having it on will cause more disconnects. while we play if we use it after the game has been set up and started.
