Forming Corps
How on earth do I do it?! I have the units adjacent to one another, click form corps and it highlights the units. No matter what I push after that it does not combine them. Am I missing something?

No, all you have to do from there on is click on the unit you want to combine with. From what you describe you're doing everything correctly.

Have the units next to each other. Click on one and select form corp option. The other unit that can form the corp will be highlighted. Click on the highlighted unit to form Corp. You form army (3 units) the same way. Then put a general with the Army and go visit other civs. Nothing can stop modern armor Army with General.

May be wrong, but not sure if you can after you combine them.

After you have pressed the "form corp" button and the second adjacent unit is colored blue, you must left-click on the blue unit's graphic on the map -- not the icon above the graphic of the unit -- to get the two units to merge.

Not intuitive, at least not for me. Took two different sets of units and many clicks (trying, e.g., different underlying terrain, starting with full movement) before I figured it out.

One small problem with Corps (and Armies) if you need the units you put into them to trigger some not yet achieved Eureka, then the Units in the Corps no longer count as having those units.

I had this this happen when I needed 3 of something (I think it was Tanks) and I formed a Corps with the 1st 2 of them that I built, so I had to build 3 more of that unit to trigger the Eureka.

I suspect the same thing would happen with Armies, IF there was an Eureka that needed 4 of some type of unit to trigger (there MAY NOT be such an Eureka).

OK... Longtime Civ player first time Civ 6er, How do I form a corps? I don't see the button that folks refer to in other posts.

The two units are side by side
They won't stack
One is sitting on the Military District
They are both the same type of unit.

What am I missing?

After the release of R+F, corps formation is bugged. You can't combine units into corps (you can still produce them with a military academy) with Nationalism like you're supposed to. It doesn't become available until Mobilization, at which point Armies can also be made.

Thanks for that. With so many games I play I jump to the "it's bugged" conclusion very quickly. I've never done that with a Sid Meiers game. Guess there's a first time for everything.

They have to be the same unit type.
At least one unit needs to have move points left.

2 combine into corp.
3 into army.

ships, 2 into fleet, 3 into armada.

Works fine for me, corps or armies or fleets or armadas. Must be your install at fault.

It affects some players and not others. If you have R&F that seems to be OK. According to the description of the workshop mod that fixes this the coding for armies and corps are linked to the wrong civics (armies to nationalism and corps to mobilisation) and you need a corps to make an army so can make neither until mobilisation.

The devs have fixed, broken and fixed things in this game regularly with patches so saying it is someone else's install is bold (as well as incorrect in this instance).

cerberusiv, I don't have the DLC and i DO seem to have the difficulty so I'm guessing that you're correct.

Just to be on the safe side I checked the integrity of my game files (sent them out and had them "Steam Cleaned") and they report that no errors were found.

Forms corps does seem to be broken in the current version. I'm playing the base game with a fresh install, and I'm a bit frustrated that I can't form corps. I need 3 corps formed to get the boost for Mobilization, but I can't get those three corps, because there is no form-corps button. That's pretty annoying.

I have Nationalism, and I have units of the same type adjacent to each other - but the form corps button never appears.

Technically you can get the corps by building them in a city with a Military Academy.
