How to "Farm a resource" boost?
Sure it's a silly question, but how do you get the boost for irrigation, don't you need the tech to do what you need to get the boost in the first place?

thx

Yes, you need to have the tech (probably irrigation tech) to be able to build a farm on that particular resource. Later on in the game, you get higher yields on a farm when it has two farms as direct neighbors, so a triangle of farms would all have the increased yield (this is the most efficient arrangement, other wise only the middle farm of the three farms will get a boost in yield).

Irrigation allows you to build _plantations_
Pottery allows you to build farms on rice or wheat (or grassland/plains)

No, you can build farms right from the start, even on resources. Pottery allows you to remove those resources from the map entirely for a big one-time bonus.
