Can't produce Archaeologist.

It is bugged or something? I have done the research for it but it doesn't show up in the build menu.

You need specific buildings to produce a lot of units. The civopedia is just a right click away and tells you exactly which building for which unit.

you need to build it in a city that has the archaeology building in it, so make sure the city you are making them in has one.

Isn't the archeological museum thingy what you need to build, in the culture district, in order to produce archaeologists?

It's not university, it's the archaeology building in the culture district. I forgot the name that's why I mentioned looking in the civopedia.

you can only create an archaeologist in a city that contains empty artifact slots, not just any city. And you cant build more than one from the same city (unless he gets killed or deleted, in which case you can replace him).

I ran into the same problem in a game where I'm playing Peter the Great. All of my cities have universities (some even have research labs), and none of them can build an archaeologist.

You need an archaeologist museum not an university. Becareful you can only build either art museum or archaeologist museum.

The civilization.wikia.com wiki mentions that a Theater Square district can have a Archaelogical Museum. It has three artifact slots.
