What's that? You just met Kongo who are on the other side of the world? Better already have a missionary ready to meet them otherwise they'll hate you within a dozen turns!
Oh you met China but because you have one more Wonder than them, they hate you too!
Hello Norway! What's that? You love how I have such a strong navy? But I have two galleys in the medieval era...

Suffice to say, the agendas - as well as the whole damn game - need some serious work.

Pedro might denounce you a lot, but he probably won't attack you without a better reason for it.

Yeh the game design is stupid in this regard. China hates you for building 1 wonder.. japan hates konga because they don't build shrines.. well they can't.. so wth firaxis..

It really is just stupid. America hates you if you goto war with the civ thats wiping them out.. it really is a retarded and extremely ignorant design. Not fun at all. Just ignore them all. Best is just to declare war on everyone except cleo and peter, build a big army and wipe all the others off the map.

Cleo denounces if you have a little army, Victoria if you just live on a different continent she doesn't have a city on.. it really is an utterly stupid design.

The french italian woman.. she will be your friend for about 2 turns then will declare war on you, loose all her units, beg peace, be your friend, build up more units then declare again. Even if you're trading with her, she'll still endless repeat the above.

Man, that guy is a real rooster synonym. Gonna get Brazil on the same list as France at this rate. Right now he's spamming me with every single holy man the Vatican ever shot from its sordid loins... it ain't pretty, folks.

Gonna declare war just so I can give Saint Peter a good kicking.
Pedro declared a joint war on me with Gilgamesh at one point. Sumera was in a completely different continent and only had one city. Pedro and I were on the same continent; he was fielding an impressive army of horsemen while I only had a few measely musketmen and cavalry sitting around.

10 turns later Sumeria asks for peace. I've destroyed every unit Pedro has sent my way, but he still refuses to ask for peace. So I teched up to infantry, tanks and helicopters, sent two birds to Pedro's cities and started razing two of them within two turns. Do note at this point he still only has crossbowmen against my helicopters. The very next turn he (begrudgingly) begs me for peace.

What did we learn? These Great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ People turned up in my cities because they ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ knew they'd have been slaughtered if they had turned up in yours. ♥♥♥♥ you, Pedro.

I've been enjoying the game, all the civs certainly have their own personality that makes them an instantly different challenge to deal with....that said...

-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Kongo raging and denouncing me literally the TURN AFTER I found my religion.

-Ghandi asking me to declare war on someone that's attacking him yet hating and denouncing me as a Warmongerer a few turns after I join in despite having been entirely peaceful until then.

-And how are my lands "vulnerable to attack" without a navy when none of my cities have even SEEN the ocean?!

-Cleopatra once having the gold-income hidden agenda so you not only had to field a massive army but also the strongest income despite upkeep costs, making her flip out between praising me and denouncing me with the slightest change in wars whenever she could do either making her look completely unstable.

Some of these values really need a tweak or at least I hope mod tools come out that might let some people in the community take a crack at fixing them.

I for one love the idea of AI-personae. It seems to need some balancing/fine tuning though.

It seems as if it needs more levels of (dis)like? I don't know how many thresholds are considered right now. For example: Qin Shihungdi should only dislike you slightly if you have 1 wonder more than him, but he should dislike you more strongly if you have 2 wonders more than him, and he should start to hate you if you have 3+ more than him. This way, slight dislikes alone should not trigger wars. They can if combined with dislikes from warmongering and hidden agendas though.

The sad part is that with the way AI handles district-based economy only the lazy, the careless and the and inept would not have more GP than AIs.
