Game loading forever...

I've just installed the Game and it never passes the initial screen "loading, please wait...".
I have already reinstalled it but the problem persists.

I`m using Radeon R9 200 series, 8GB RAM and i5-4670 3.40GHZ, Windows 10 64 bits.

Does anyone have any idea of how solving it?

There seems to be a bug right now where random people cannot load the map. I played the game on my PC all day, then my wife wanted to play too so we loaded it on her rig only to crash on map load all night. I made a Reddit post and saw another one.

I think something with DRM is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ tonight.

I have been able to play all day yesterday, and for a couple hours today. Came back, and now it won't load.

Thankfully DS3 has DLC coming out in a couple days. Keep me busy while they patch this

Same, played all day. As of an hour ago, I can no longer load and games. Saved or new.

Same thing as Boomer. Played all day yesterday no problems, got home to try new civ today and locked on loading map screen. Guess it's a BF1 night until they fix it

Yep same here, played the past two days just fine. As of today takes forever to load after clicking "continue" finally does but gives an error about not being able to "connect to civilization VI" and then if a start a game or load a game it will sit at the leader loading screen for 30+ minutes wihout progress.

This is obviously some sort of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ always on DRM that puts us playing at the mercy of what are apprently shoddy servers or a shoddy written half-♥♥♥♥♥♥ netcode. I'm so sick of companies making games unplayable with this always connected crap that isn't built to handle what they intend it for. The sad part is that i'm sure a pirated version of the game probably runs flawlessly with that crap ripped out of it, meaning the only people they're stopping from playing are people who paid for it.

I love how 2K decides to ♥♥♥♥ on their customers on Sunday night, the best time for most of us to play games with family. Sigh. ♥♥♥♥ lords need to stop using DRM especially when it shuts out legit customers.

Having the same issue. If it's a problem with the DRM, we could possibly use a crack file from some torrent to fix the issue while we wait. I'm pretty PO'd right now. This is what I get for pre-ordering.

Looks like the issue I'm having too. I can't load a previous save or start a new game. It says stuck at the loading screen while the music keeps playing on loop.

Very frustrating.

This is where I'm at. Worked perfectly fine up until a couple of hours ago.

Happening here as well, played for days no problem. Went to load a new game, now it hangs. Tried re-install, and just about everything to fix it.

So I don't know if it'll work for anyone else but I changed my graphics settings from Low to Med and now everything works fine again!!

I`ve opened a ticket on 2k Support but still waiting for an answer, which may take a while: "Please note: Currently, we are experiencing a high volume of tickets, which means reply times may be longer than initially expected."

I hope they get it fixed soon. I was not able to play it not even once...
