Can't build/find archaeologist

I have researched everything, also build the museum etc. but i can't find the button to build them. Any help?

Likely you have filled up all the relic slots so there is no way to dig another. Build more building/wonder so you get enough space to dig them up again.

Which kind of museum? There are two kinds. If you only built an art museum you won't be able to build an archaeologist from what I can tell. You have to built the natural history museum.

I build the natural history museum, but perhaps the slot is really full from great works. Because I've never build any archologists.

You get archaeologist by building archaeological museum.

none of this is helpful, I have the civic, I have the museum, it is empty... still no archaeologist available to build or buy in any menu

You must build the archaeologist in the city that has the archaeological museum. Any artifacts that archaeologist finds will be returned to its home city's museum, and once the slots are full the unit disbands.
