Oxford university placement

Hi,

I can't build Oxford university despite of i have all condition university and plains adjacent to campus. Why ? Because the plains is too a hill ?

In red : "construction impossible: no suitable location"

I'm having the same problem right now. The similarities I see is that both of our proposed placements would involve placing the wonder between a river and a mountain, so maybe there's some hidden requirement against those.

I ahd an earlier theory that the game won't let me place wonders on strategic resources, so maybe there's something underneath that tile that you havent researched yet.

AFAIK you can't destroy Districts, and I'm pretty sure that when it says "Grasslands or Plains", it means flat terrain, not hills.

Plains and Grasslands are seperate categories from altitude, so you can have a Hill/Plains or Hill/Grasslands. Oxford cannot be built on any tile that is a Hill

Ok probably that but this information was missing in game but i will win i think the science victory without oxford !

Its not missing it clearly says plains it never mentions hills ergo you cant build it on hills.

I just posted a discussion concerning the oxford wonder and a stategic vs bonus resource question. I figure you have answered my question on why I can't place the oxford site. "Horses"

Yes but the square is adjacent to campus. This is just because the plain is a hill square too. But this was not clear for me.
