I took a load of cities in a peace deal with another civilisation and most of them are little terrible ones in the middle of nowhere that are probably affecting amenities etc. So I was hoping to remove them.. but it turns out according to the below you cant in this version:
That sucks, I wonder if it is a feature they will bring back. Oh well I can live without it, just need to plan ahead a little more in the future!

the way around it would be to give the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cities back, declare war again, and raze them after conquering them.
