Raze City Option - where is it?
Is there an option to Raze a city after the initial selection to capture and keep it? I am not referring to original capital cities, but any other city I capture?

Nope. it tells you in the newbie tips (if you have those activated). the option to raze is only availible when you capture the city.

Why would you do that anyway? :P

I took a load of cities in a peace deal with another civilisation and most of them are little terrible ones in the middle of nowhere that are probably affecting amenities etc. So I was hoping to remove them.. but it turns out according to the below you cant in this version:

That sucks, I wonder if it is a feature they will bring back. Oh well I can live without it, just need to plan ahead a little more in the future!

Well that stinks for me, as, on the new "Earth" map I can't make a panama Canal city anymore...

(Damascus was owned by another civ, whom I now own)

You could have razed it on the turn you gained the city in the peace deal. Likewise you can regift the city then conquer it and raze it.

the way around it would be to give the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cities back, declare war again, and raze them after conquering them.

Also good to keep in mind, that apparently if you make a deal on a city on AI players turn, you cannot raze it as the turn you acquired it has passed.

thank you for that. I was wondering why I couldn't always do it when it was not a capital.
