This is an idea I can get behind.
But yeah, strategic resources can be very finicky in this game. And by finicky I mean stupid. Whole world with less than 2 oil, that's just stupid.
I don't think launching the satellite will reveal all resources as such, unexplored regions of the map won't show resources until it has been explored with a unit.
I'm currently playing a huge map and have launched a satellite, but the unexplored regions where I haven't sent a unit yet are showning no resources whatsoever on this map.
It may simply be that you need to explore more with a unit to reveal sources of oil.
i know... i know... in my first game i only built 1 settler and then liberated a few others and their cities. Why make cities when someone else does it for you!!!!
But a curious question. If a certain kind of resource is not available on the whole map, would I able to get it if I'm the Suzerain of Hattusa with 3+ envoys?
