Can't Save/Game Doesn't Autosave
I'm having problems saving games on my laptop with Win 10. I played for 5 hours after it came out and saved and went to load it nothing saved, not even autosaves. I looked in the manual where the directory is for saved games and it's in the My Documents/My Games/... but there is no My Games directory nor CIV VI directory. How can I save my game? I have also tried disabling Anti-Virus software and still have the same issue. The game saves fine on my desktop.

Its Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI. PS make sure the game allowed by your anti-virus.

Same issue here. And, thanks, Kotli, but my anti-virus is allowing the game. The problem seems to be that the save file is not being created upon installation.

It's not being created because Steam client hasn't got permission to create it. You need to run the Steam client as Administrator, then it will work.

Did that as well after reading posts here. The only thing that fixed everything was registering for a 2K account.

Same here, can't save games. I don't have BitDefender as some has suggested but did Uninstall my AVG antivirus to see if that would make a difference but it didn't. I've uninstalled CIV 6 3 times now and reinstalled. Still not able to save a game. Requested a refund from Steam because I am so aggravated and they told me because I had played 11 hours that I can't have a refund. What a joke. I loved CIV 5 and it worked fine. Why is this not working. I play CIV 5 without an issue with this same setup!

Finally I can save my games. Running Steam Client as Administrator did the trick. Strange that it was necessary to do this though, been playing CIV 5 for years without having to do that. 3 days of aggravation was not an enjoyable experience.
