Never ending trade route?

As the title says: I established a trade route between my two cities, which was supposed to be 5 turns long. All fine and dandy...until it's about 20 (or even more...) turns later and the trade is still not finished. I also didn't find a way to just stop it.
It makes my game really difficult as...so far it's my only trade route and I'm about to get broke if I cannot start a more profitable one. Anyone experienced something similiar or knows how I can stop this?

I did face the same issue, tradeoverview says 6round remaining, nothing changed after 80 rounds
