saves gone?

I played for 3 hours today then before I quit I hit esc and pressed quick save. I also have the options set to auto save every 1 turn and keep 10 auto saves. Then I started a new game to test some things, and never manually saved it. But now my main game saves are just gone. No auto saves (other than turn 1 of my test game), no quick save. What's going on? Does the game automatically wipe every save if you start a new game?

I have something similar going on. I played several hours, then saved it. I came back and had neither autosaves nor the named save I made. I'm going to try making an exception for my antivirus.

Same issue here, cannot creat save files at all atm.

Had same issue. Check your anitvirus program. I use bitdefender and civ6 was added to its blocked list. Removed it from list and can now save.

I finally got the chance to check the antivirus, and mine was also Bitdefender. However, it wasn't in the blocked applications list. The ransomware protection was still blocking it. I had to put it in the "allow applications" list.

Same issue. Cannot create a manual or an autosave file. I'm using McAfee and that does not seem to be the issue.

I'm using Malwarebytes. Same: will not / can not create any type of save file

I don't have an antivirus.

But I did find the save files. They're in Users\Username\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Saves

When you make a new game it moves all autosaves from Single\auto to Single\auto\prev which can't be accessed from in-game for some reason

Running Steam in Admin mnode worked for me. Thanks! I was running just Civ VI in admin mode and that was not working.
