How do I stop auto cycling to next units?
I have this bug where units keep accidentally moving to where I dont want them to, its really bugging me. Auto cycling seems to be the root cause of this, does anyone know how to turn it off?

Go to Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civ VI and edit useroptions.txt. Line 59-60 says;

;Does the selection auto cycle to the next available unit? (0 = no, 1 = yes)
AutoUnitCycle 1

Just change the 1 to a 0

Edit: As always make a backup before editing any config

I think you just need to be patient for now and let it cycle. I agree that it's annoying as hell that you can't click on a unit without it cycling you away.

There's no wait key (w from 5) and I don't think there's a next unit key, so if you disable cycling you will most likely never move all your units.

I'm hoping they deal with this quickly because it's damn annoying overall.

They should really add an ingame option to toggle it on or of without having to edit files.

There is an in game setting to disable auto unit cycling, check out the in game options. And no, it will not stop you from moving your units. If you disable it, instead of automatically selecting the next unit for orders after you order a unit, it will just stay at your location. There will still be a turn blocker saying "unit needs orders" before you can end your turn.

Yes, if only that truly worked. I have it set to "disabled" by default and whenever I start play, unit cycling takes over. If I go into options, set to enabled, exit options, then go back and set it back to disabled, it stops unit cycling. But I have to do this every time - very annoying! And I looked at the useroptions.txt file and auto cycling is set to 0. There's a bug in the code somewhere.

Turning off the automatic unit cycling in the Interface menu works perfectly for me!

It does not work for me and neither does turning off the advisor. I have both turned off at the Main Menu, Options area. When I start a game, I have to go into the options area from the game (which still shows both disabled, btw) and enable both, exit, reenter Options and set them both to disabled. Then it works as it should: no advisor and no unit cycling. And again, I have looked at the UserOptions.txt file and the settings there are as they should be to behave the way I desire it. Something else is going wrong somewhere. I'll keep doing this until a fix comes out for it, but it is very annoying.

you can cycle units easily in 6, it will create the exclamation you can click, then you can always click on them if your looking at where a war is happening for example.

There is an option for auto cycle in game options if you pause, no reason to adjust xml file, game will adjust that for you.

Actually there is a wait key, it's "w". That will take you to the next unit that needs orders.

(Sorry for necro, I came to this page while googling, so I'm clarifying.)
