No Steam Cloud support?

You can do cloud saves if you sign up for My2K. After signing up, a cloud save checkbox appears on the load/save menus.

You mean technically? The saves are stored thru use of My2K and the Firaxis cloud system.

Click the My2K Icon in the lower right. Sign up for an account.

After that, the cloud save checkbox will appear on the save/load menus.

When you start the game app, in one of the start screens, in the lower-right corner, there is a 2K link where you can create a new account. Once done, the cloud option should appear in the game save and load pages.

With this link to My2K there were cloud saves indeed. But trying to start the game and load I had always "connectiuon issue"
I excluded Civ vi folder and steam folder from windows defender, but no effect. When I broke up link to 2K I could finally load a game. Suppose that link doesn't work. Any ideas?

I was having some problems myself. Finally, after one of my attempts to load the app, I was linked to 2K, and the cloud service was working, although loading the saved game still seems to take a long while.

ok dpokerface, I discovered a typing error in my mailaddress in my2k. my2k account now good, no problems anymore.

I did all the above and still have "Connection Issues" at work, even on a VPN where all other games work. Doesn't even let me insert a username/password.

I can't believe I'll have to lug my saves back and forth with a USB stick again like a troglodyte.
