Missing local files
It's been 10 hours of trying to start the game.
A few mins ago I opened the local files folder and all i see is two folders: DLC and _CommonRedist. Total size of folder is 734MB. Is that what it should be? I cant find any game files. Only directx drivers and the soundtrack folder. Are the game files located somewhere else?

Can someone please check their local game folder and tell me its size?

Steamliabrary/steam apps/common/sidmyers civilization VI
I have several steam librarys but the default is under programfilesx86/steam. If you can't find them then they must not have installed. Maybe you need to delete the game then reboot Windows then reinstall. If that dosn't work then try 2K. Good luck with 2k, Lol.

i dont know if this helps, but i found a frineds computer and i am downloading the game from there. The total download is 4.4gb and not 8.23gb as you mentioned. Then i will copy the files on my folder and see if that works.

Are you running the 32bit version of windows?

Are you on a 32-bit OS. The game does not support 32-bit OS as such the game will not run

If you are on a 64-bit OS then

1) restart your computer
2) reverify your game cache
3) re-run the game

After steam finishes downloading, it unpacks the game installation which would be around 8.2gb
