Main Menu Music IS NOT IN Soundtrack?
UPDATE:
Ladies and Gentlemen, it has been confirmed the Main Menu and Opening Cinematic music is NOT in the "Official Soundtrack" that comes with the Deluxe Edition. It is sad and you can join the discussion about it below.
For those like me who still MUST have that amazing audio, the artist is "Christopher Tin" and the song/album is called "Sogno di Volare ("The Dream of Flight")". It can be found at major digital audio retailers like iTunes and Amazon. There are other online places to aquire it mentioned in the thread.

ORIGINAL POST:
Just started playing and the main menu music was quite good in my opinion (had a choir in it, almost sounded religious), and I got the deluxe edition that came with the soundtrack, but looking through track list I only see era themes per civilization. No "Main Menu" track or anything non-civ specific. Anyone know if the main menu music was left out of the soundtrack (which would be infuriating), or was it an actual civ era theme and just didn't know which one?

I have only logged in once so far, so I don't know if main menu audio cycles through other songs, but I don't think that is how Civ V and BE were, so I doubt they would do that now.

Any info anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I skiped through most of the soundtrack and the main theme seems to be missing. (The theme is looped in the menues)
It would be sad if this track is not included, as it is the second best main themes from civ for me so far.
You can buy the main music separetely. The Composer is Christoper Tin (he also wrote the title track for Civ4). It's already in iTunes or Amazon. That guy is a genius! Christopher Tin - Sogno di Volare ("The Dream of Flight") (Civilization VI Main Theme)
Pretty upset about this. The main reason I paid extra for the deluxe version is for the soundtrack, and for the best/main/title song not to be in there is pretty low.

(I did look for a way to buy it separately from the game, but never thought to search for the composer.)
I agree. That is REALLY disappointing to pay extra money to get the soundtrack, but to find out the best music in the game, and in fact the one song that EVERYONE hears since it is the Main Menu, and not a random civ that people may or may not play, is NOT on the OFFICIAL game soundtrack that I just purchased?! Are you serious?

Talk about a sad cash grab.

I am really liking the game so far, but that move makes me really disappointed in the developer. "Here is the 'Official Game Soundtrack'. You know, except for the main song. That you have to purchase separately, cause... well, you know..... logic."

Oh well. Greedy corps will be greedy corps. Thanks for the info anyway.

Me too. I was and am very disappointed to not find the main-title in the soundtrack! >:(
This is a fraud. Like buying a car but you have to pay extra for the engine.
I sincerely hope the devs will include the main title in a future update.

Fortunately there are other ways to have the soundtrack as a file... legally.
Add salt to the wound. The page description calls it Civilization 25th Anniversary Digital Soundtrack.
You would assume it would contain some of the best tracks from previous civ games over 25 years.... but noooo.... it's just the Civ 6 OST... and WITHOUT Sogno di Volare to boot.
Shame on you 2k games.
Yeah. For the record I just obtained the 2 track (digital) album on Amazon for $1.78. It is called
Sogno di Volare (Civilization VI Main Theme) by Christopher Tin. (Thanks Christian for the info in above comment).

It includes the Main Menu theme as well as the other track being the music from the Opening Cinematic (ALSO not on the OFFICIAL soundtrack).

I feel someone, either Steam or Firaxis or 2K or whomever controls this aspect of the game, owes me $1.78 for having to externally buy the 2 most important songs of Civ VI that where unexplainably left off the OFFICIAL GAME SOUNDTRACK. These songs ARE Civ VI, yet are not on the Civ VI album. Licensing issues or not, this is pretty sad and foul.

Its on christopher tins youtube channel. A live version and the studio version
It's definitely a weird oversight, but at least Tin released them for free.

The soundtrack as it stands now is four hours and twenty minutes long...yikes!

I ended up buying FLAC versions of Tin's songs off his website for 2 bucks. Stuck one at the beginning and one at the end of the OST and renumbered the tracks. I'm up to Greece in the OST and all the music really is great.

I'm ok sending 2 bucks to the composer of another outstanding Civ theme song, BUT I still feel a little cheated though, seeing as how they did include the menu/title music in the Civ IV deluxe edition way back then.
I am fine with supporting the artist, as he did such a great job. My main gripe here is being "sold" an Official Game Soundtrack, that doesn't have all the music from the game, not to mention the single MOST important track of game audio.

If they sold me an "Album of all civilizations theme music in Civ VI", then I would have no gripe here. Or a "Civilization based soundtrack" or any other way of phrasing it that indicates the main theme and any non-civilization based audio is NOT included, I would have been fine with that and adjusted my purchase accordingly.

But that is not what happened. They put out launch trailers with this epic score, leading me to believe that is what I can expect in the Civ VI audio style, and they sold me an Official Game Soundtrack, and they did not provide the one piece of audio that not only sums up Civ VI but also is what was used for marketing trailers, leading me to believe that a variation of that score would be somewhere in the soundtrack.

It was a cheap tactic, and while in the long run it is very petty and trivial, it is still something that sits in the back of my mind that I was mislead. And quite frankly I don't appreciate it. Am I gonna quit playing Civ VI, or boycott the game? Absolutely not. It is an amazing game that deserves all the praise it gets. Will I buy another soundtrack/bundle for a Civ game? Absolutely not.
The best thing you can do is contact Firaxis and let them know how you feel. They'll probably add it in, since it seems like an oversight more than malicious money grab (at least to me).
What do you guys actually do with the sound tracks? Do you guys listen to it in your car or something? Seriously. I think this was the first game I've bought that came with a ST. I mostly bought the Delux for the future DLC's, and because I loved Civ V
