Main Menu Music IS NOT IN Soundtrack?

Ladies and Gentlemen, it has been confirmed the Main Menu and Opening Cinematic music is NOT in the "Official Soundtrack" that comes with the Deluxe Edition. It is sad and you can join the discussion about it below.
For those like me who still MUST have that amazing audio, the artist is "Christopher Tin" and the song/album is called "Sogno di Volare ("The Dream of Flight")". It can be found at major digital audio retailers like iTunes and Amazon. There are other online places to aquire it mentioned in the thread.

Just started playing and the main menu music was quite good in my opinion (had a choir in it, almost sounded religious), and I got the deluxe edition that came with the soundtrack, but looking through track list I only see era themes per civilization. No "Main Menu" track or anything non-civ specific. Anyone know if the main menu music was left out of the soundtrack (which would be infuriating), or was it an actual civ era theme and just didn't know which one?

I have only logged in once so far, so I don't know if main menu audio cycles through other songs, but I don't think that is how Civ V and BE were, so I doubt they would do that now.

Any info anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I agree. If it was like 1 era of a civ, then yeah, no big deal, and it was probably just oversight. But the is THE Civ VI song. The best music of the game and the one piece of audio that, over time, when you hear it you will INSTANTLY think of Civ VI.... and it is NOT on the Official Soundtrack?

Imagine buying the Star Wars or Superman soundtracks, and the opening title music was not part of it. While extreme, I feel this is a fair comparison. This is NOT a Civ VI soundtrack, this is a "Themes of the Civilizations of Civ VI" album. Which I would not have been so keen to purchase.

I don't doubt it. Fraxis has always seemed to try to give fans what they want to the best of their ability... 2K, not so much. And I am sure there is licensing and legal complications tied in it all. Being that it is NOT part of the official Civ VI Soundtrack, I hope that means we could see the song in other media like movies and whatnot. It is a very powerful piece of music IMHO.

Agreed. The different elements are more well-balanced in a studio version

Yea, but there's something about visually seeing everyone taking part in creating the music. I bet it would've been amazing to hear in person. I think its insane how somone can just come up with music like that- for all those different instruments and vocals. I'm sure it comes in a little easier once you have the essential melody and theme down- then you just sorta fill in. But still- wow.

I too was looking forward to this track, especially with Songo Di Volare. I wanted to put it on my phone to listen to it on the go. Although I love this game's music, I feel a bit ripped off, with the theme not being placed and the fact those who got it, paying 20$ more to have the soundtrack (with other things of course) technically can go to Youtube and get the other half free (offically) and now every single song (unofficaly from those who post the tracks.)

I can understand the fact there was a possible discussion with Tin and Firaxis about this; but in eariler games this wasn't an issue. Also again, I agree with above; you DID SAY 25th Anniversary Edition; and we only got the Civ VI OST, so I do feel deceived there as well.

Another thing which annoys me with the soundtrack is that there are no FLAC files available. Many soundtracks of Steam games have contained both mp3 and FLAC versions.

It is pretty bogus to pay for a Deluxe edition where the main feature on launch day is the soundtrack...and have it not include the one track anyone would buy this for...

I noticed now the whole soundtrack is available on YouTube. Definitely devalues it in the Deluxe.
