Game not Launching!

Anyone has similiar problem and possible fixes?

As soon as i click on play, nothing really happens -_-

I also had problems launching the game, so I tried the exe file at its directory.Discovered that it claimed that api-ms-win-crt-runtime- 1-1-0.dll was missing. After I have googled it suggested that I should install microsoft visual C++ 2015 but I already have both for 32 and 64 bit. So after some tinkering, I tried to repair both of the ones I had installed. Viola, the game worked. Hope this helps someone.

I had this problem, I found a strange fix. Unplug your mouse and then start the game. (Use F10 on keyboard then use arrows to highlight civ v6 shortcut, then hit return.)

Of note, my mouse is a roccat tyon

I think this have something to do with the AlienFX drivers which are coming with the Roccat drivers.

Possibly, although this has helped others too in other threads, unless they all had tyons lol

for 2010 and 2015

running those should install/repair necessarily, but for 64 bit windows here is a direct link

Solved in this way. But Win patches should be updated before. Lucky case....

I had the api-ms-win-crt-runtime- 1-1-0.dll missing problem, I found the file on the Internet, put it the Civ VI game files, and when I try to run the game I get 0x000005

Anyone got a solution to this?

Windows 10. Was opening and closing immediately with no error message in Steam so ran as Admin from files and error was with msvcp140.dll in System32 folder so downloaded a new copy of msvcp140.dll and replaced the copy in system32 folder. Run first time after that.

Hi guys. So, me too i have the famous problem with windows 8.1 (Game don't launch with steam or manually), but tonight, i can play my game, so i think i have the solution.

-> Install the KB2919442 with the CMD command (If you can't manually). So, first, download the KB2919442, then, use the command for installe this KB2919442 forced. For me, it works. Make the same thing for the other KB2999226.

My problem was that c++ 2015 always failed to install. I fixed it by manually updating Windows .NET from their website. After that, I installed c++ 2015 from the CIV 6 downloaded files, and the setup worked. CIV 6 now runs!!!
