From outside the game you can press create game, then advanced game, then scroll down the bit on the right side. You will see Game Seed and Map Seed. I don't see a way to do it from within a game.

Anybody figure this out yet? This is driving me nuts, I just want to re-start the map I'm on but with freshly modded files. But I have to start a new game for it to load the changes. :/

Same here, no way to see it unless you wrote it at the begining, firaxis pls make it visible in the section Load Game so is easy to play with the same map, same flaw as civ 5 :/

1st You need to save your game.
2nd You copy paste into mutil game save folder
3rd Yuo start creating a multi game with loading that save
once you are at some kind of chat room that waiting for ppl to join into your map, there is a game set up option you can click on and the map seed is there.

SIMPLE: while in game, hit esc to open the menu... mouse over the version number at the very bottom of the menu panel... it shows you both seed and map. VOILA!

Simple: from the game you want the seed of, open the menu panel (with save, load, quit etc buttons) at the bottom of the panel is a version number (very very bottom). Mouse over it and Voila! All info about the game including seed and map.
