The option in menu is disabled for every resolution I choose, 1080p, 1440p, 2160p... nothing works...
Anyway I remember how to increase the font size from previous Civ games and it also works for Civ VI.
In ***\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Assets\UI\Fonts\ is file Civ6_FontStyles_EFIGS.xml
Increase all the FontSize=XX to your desired size, most of the in-game windows will adjust to the size unless you increase it too much.
For me size 20 to 22 works fine.
UI scaling is in Civ 5. It's on by default at 1440p.
Can you specify what lines you changed exactly to make it look better?
I'm seeing nearly 50 lines of various font types and sizes in that XML file
this is how the font file looks for me, size 18 seems like the optimal size. I used size 20 for the mouse in-game tooltip popup which I find useful, although it also affects one line of text in great people screen which overflows a window...
Using a 27" 2560x1440 monitor.
I have good eyes, a 32" 2560x1440 monitor and I can see and read everything just fine and dandy.
Don't hate on me because I'm different.
That's likely due to monitor size primarily.
I'm playing on a 27" 1440p monitor and I can certainly read the text, but I'd be lying if I said it was a comfortable gaming experience. A UI upscaling option needs to be implemented for 1440p certainly. It might work for 4K right now, but I just checked and DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) doesn't work either in Civ 6. So playing in rendered 4K and enabling UI upscaling on a 1440p-monitor isn't possible either.
Some comparison screenshots before and after the font change.
