Solution to bypass the (annoying and useless) launcher of 2K

I have found a solution to bypass the launcher which doesn't launch games.. :

- Under the Genral Tab Click on the button that reads Set Launch Options
- Write the folder location of Civ between two " "
- At the end of your install location you will add \CivilizationVI_DX12.exe" %command% (after you close the quotations put a space before the %percentage symbol.)

The completed line of text should appear similiar to this :

"C:\(location of steam folder)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI_DX12.exe" %command%

Anyone have the path or place to look for it using the Epic launcher? I have the game both places, but installed new DLC's there and now the game doesn't see them even though they are installed.

so this works to start up my game finnaly tyvm, but when i load up it doesnt show that i own the portugal dlc in game

can't play mp or access dlcs with this route. Firaxis/2K should hire more competent people. But why a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher in the first place?

This is expired after 4/22 update. Now ALL exe files are linked to that hellshit launcher.

What worked for me in this case was to follow all the steps as suggested
"C:\(location of steam folder)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Binaries\Win64Steam\CivilizationVI
and rather then bypassing with a new code I made a shortcut of it on my desktop and use it to start up the game. 2K now opens up and allows me to start the game.

Update... and now, it CRASHES on me in the late games. This work around worked for 4 weeks. All this time spend and not being able to finish a game really does suck.

Thanks this worked just fine. Does anyone know of an additional command to force the game to launch in full screen? Mine is launching in windowed mode, even though the game setting is set to launch in FS and I even re-applied the fullscreen setting, to no avail.

Too bad that some new features won't be available until their launcher is fixed, they sound fun and more complex.

I don't know why so many games are moving to these "launchers". I've had several games that I struggled to get to start because of launcher problems, although Civ 6 has been okay for me.
