Correct. And I have ability to add Anthology (missing persona packs) to my account, but it doesn't work. I got an error everytime I try.
It's absurd to pay twice for the same content. I hope 2K fixes that.
Well I must say, I usually purchase all available pack, map DLC etc... for Civ games and today I came to visit and shop to see if anything new had been created and available for when I am ready to play my next Civ6 game. I discover this bug in the store for the new frontier pass which is advertised has the third expansion after Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm. I almost purchase anthology but notice the missing New Frontier pass credit which is a deal breaker for me because it does not give me all available and the complete game that I am looking for. I want to say a Big thank you to irw for his great work on this forum and opening a ticket with Steam Support. Please keep us posted.
Nice. Will have to remember that if anyone else runs into something similar.
Did you manage to solve the issue so "New Frontier Pass" starts showing in both: game client and steam store page?
"New Frontier Pass" should never show up in the game, it is merely a bundle of DLC. The DLC from the NFP all show up individually within the game to enable/disable.
That is not really correct. NFP is considered a DLC by all means:
1. It shows in DLC section in Steam store page of Civ 6.
2. Shows separately in 2k Launcher when you launch the game.
Neither of those two examples make the New Frontier Pass NOT a bundle. Plenty of games have named bundles that you can buy. Hell, that is exactly what "Anthology" and "Platinum" are. And neither of those names show up in game either.
The separate DLC do show up in game for you to select. But there is ZERO listing of the term "New Frontier Pass" in game, because it is not an expansion, it is merely a marketing bundle.
Again not correct. Steam has strict definitions of additional content, bundle, package etc. Bundle is a bunch of store items (usually game + dlcs and/or extras) that is sold as one direct purchase while also reducing price for store items you already own. Bundles always show directly below game purchase and package purchase options and above DLC (aka additional content).
So speaking technically - NFP is not a bundle in a way which Steam store classifies it.
And it is also not true that it does not show up in game. 2K Civ 6 game launcher lists all the big DLC's (aka expansion packs, but steam does not differentiate the two): "Rise and Fall", "Gathering Storm" AND "New Frontier Pass" and tells you whether you own it and have it installed or not. And for people who bought Anthology BUNDLE and installed everything 2K Civ 6 launcher, as well as Steam store page, shows NFP as unowned and not installed.
The launcher is not "in game". Being in the game is "in game". The launcher is some add-on that was released well after the game initially launched. And you can completely bypass the launcher, the game has zero need for the launcher.
Also, not sure where you got your definition of a bundle is, but in my opinion you are completely incorrect. Frankly, it sounds like you are making up your own definitions of the term.
