Civ 6 Anthology does (not) include New Frontier Pass (Shop bug)

This post is about a glitch in the steam shop.

I own the Civ 6 anthology (upgrade) which includes all the addons and dlcs including all the dlcs from the New Frontier Pass. (17 / 17)

Still the steam shop shows that I do not own the New Frontier Pass and advertises it to me. Buying the New Frontier Pass would cost me a lot of money but give no reward since I already own all its items. So this advertisement is misleading.

It would be better to mark the New Frontier Pass in the shop as owned if the player owns all its single dlcs, e.g. from buying the anthology. This probably would have to be defined by the Civ 6 team and not the steam team.

New Frontier pass is, in and off itself, not a DLC rather it is a collection of small dlcs that were originally stand alone products featuring a single civilization or two. In other words you have New frontier content if you have those civs that made up the new frontier pass, but they are not labeled as such.

I bought every single DLC, including every DLC from New Frontier pass. I cannot buy Anthology, because I miss only Teddy and Catherine DLCs which cost 0$. Adding to my account does not work. It is ridiculous. New customers are able to have Teddy and Catherine, loyal customers are not. Time to switch to Humankind.

It's unfortunate, but from the beginning they communicated that those two would be exclusive to those who bought the whole pass and not the content individually.

Honestly, you aren't missing much with the two exclusive leaders; I still haven't tried either yet since there are simply a ton of leaders who I find more interesting.

Yes, but New Frontier is not a part of Anthology. When both Teddy and Catherine are included. It is inconsistent and favors new customers.

New Frontier Pass is part of Anthology; it's what differentiates Platinum from Anthology.

There is no New Frontier Pass, but all single DLCs from this Pass. That is why it is inconsistent.

New Frontier is not a separate DLC. Anthology does have New Frontier. In the Steam Store page that translates as all those DLC's being included.

I had bought all 15 DLC's before Anthology appeared with additional 2 DLC's from New Frontier pass (Teddy and Catherine). I cannot buy, because it costs 0$. Adding to my account doesn't work too. I assume that new customers can buy anthology with all 17 DLC's.

Correct. As is says on the store page for Teddy:

"The Persona Packs are available exclusively to owners of the New Frontier Pass."

By not buying the pass but instead buying them individually, you missed out on it.

Games on Steam (along with some other things in life) decrease in price and undergo sales over time to attract new customers. It's business.

I want to buy Anthology. I can't, because I already own 15 DLC's. But new customers can buy Anthology with all 17 DLC's (listed few posts above) with both Teddy and Catherine. Why I cannot? For me it is a shop bug.

That's not 100% correct. I was only missing the "New Frontier Pass" content. I used the Anthology to buy the content of "New Frontier Pass" at half price compared to the Pass itself and now I own the complete game including Persona Packs (17/17) but not the "New Frontier Pass".

You can get the Persona Packs either by buying "New Frontier Pass" or by using the "Anthology" to complete your collection of Civ6 addons and dlcs.

They could set the price of the Persona Packs in the Anthology to 1 cent or grant the Persona Packs for free to all players who own all other dlcs (15/17).

Ahh, thanks for the info.

But didn't you technically buy the New Frontier Pass since it's included in Anthology? You do own the New Frontier Pass. it's just the new dlcs put together.

Or at least it seem to me.
