eh, depends how you're teching, really. one can completely forsake castles and above, moving along the upper part of the tech tree to replaceable parts (and square rigging). it would be a sizable investment of time to military science for that eureka. i probably wouldn't do it under most circumstances, unless some aspect of my leader's specials fell between castles and steel.
Not sure, sounds like it needs a bit more testing to figure out just what the deal is.
Btw, he was going from man-at-arms --> line infantry with that upgrade
on another post i was told its now own 3 line infantry and own 2 trebuchets respectively. they just didnt update the text which is plain ridiculous.
It's a mistake, they happen. It's not like they can do a full search and replace, because the old units are still in the game. They missed a couple text fields, they'll catch them in a patch at some point.
yeah mistakes happen but cmon you change the way the boost works without changing its text? there only two things to a boost, the text and the effect... cmon ya know?
Exactly. Now if that had been the only change or one of only a few changes in the patch, it would be crazy for them to not catch it. But they changed, added, and fixed a LOT in that last patch. Hardly surprising.
Not gonna lie that I wish they were faster with fixes, but that has been the way of Firaxis/2K for a long time now.
