so i jsut ntoiced and think tis new, when u go on ur scout and go to auto explore theres a new ubtton. pet, and u see ur scout pet the dog

If you have the official reskin that turns the dog into cats (another waste of time and money, THE HORROR) there is still a button, but it is permanently gray and the tooltip says "One does not simply pet a cat"

Found the 'pet the dog' thing really goofy and AFAIK, first modification like this that is purely cosmetic.

To do this as an Easter Egg would have been easier to accept, but they actually modified the UI to add a 'pet your dog' button for scouts.

Guess they have all of bugs and issues fixed and had some extra time on their hands.... oh wait, they don't have all the backlogged bugs fixed.... ???

You're absolutely right!
Those Graphic Artists need to buckle down into the programming code and fix all the bugs.

whoe vne said the graphic designer did this [paid, maybe it was his pet project (pun not intended) during his lunch breaks. then it only costed maybe 3 minutes for a button (and testing it)

programmer copy/pastes some 3 or 4 lines of code to add one hideable button in the UI;
programmer writes something like "if on_pet_button_pressed then if pet_cat then no_sir_no_pet; else" code;
programmer copy/paste animation into previous "if then" code.

wow. how dare the programmer spend such an amount of work and time in this?
in those 5 minutes he could have found the solution for world hunger, and climate changes and why isn't Scarlett Johansson my girlfriend!

They did work towards fixing the as you described "less than stellar warfare" by introducing new units and improving the naval AI

Edit - Like what are you even expecting from the tactical combat?
If you want an actual tactical combat game go google one, there are hundreds that would play significantly better and be a better challenge than this one will ever offer.

It's called Battle Brothers, you run a small mercenary company and do adventures and such

Looks to have a decent tactical system.

they did that, balance changes, better ai, previous airforce now naval, new units, bug fixes, yes some are still there but thery fixed many aswell.
