List of Cities ordered by production capacity: how??

The only list of cities I'm able to see is in the "Reports" section, but it won't let me order by Production (or anything else for that matter), and has a list of every single city district cluttering up the view: does anybody know how I can get a simple list of all my cities, and sort them by Production/Science/Gold/Culture/Faith as desired?

This is a really good question. Why is Civ 6 so devoid of automated tasks and simple things like this that are typical mainstays of the prior civ games? If they release these in DLC I am going to rate civ 6 thumbs down and never buy another version.

Or the ability to sort trade routes. YES, you can filter them by a specific yield...but you can't sort by highest of that yield. Once you get civics that boost gold to all trade routes...it makes filtering by gold worthless.

You can't and I agree that it's inexplicable. There is a least one mod that does allow this (QuickUI, available on CivFanatics, which also adds a bunch of other good tweaks to the UI) that I tried briefly on a new game earlier this week; it seemed fine, but I am still playing my older game in progress on a huge map. However, I think the mod has yet to to be updated to work with the new patch.
