Where do you get Religious Works from?

I know how to get relics via combat; writings, paintings, music all have great people. But I don't have a clue where to get "religious works of art" for my cathedrals. Any idea what I can stuff in there to get more tourists? Or is this currently a bug and the slots can't be filled?

As far as I know, great artists produce them. My guess is that this happens only with early artists.

^ Wrong. You get them from martyring your Apostles if they have the upgrade that allows for martyrdom. This actually works really well for a Cultural victory. You get the religious upgrade that gives you triple tourism for them then you build as many temples, plus the Mont St. Michel, then sacrifice your apostles to God... hey, they wanted to die anyway.

apostles give relics, certian artists produce religous art, there are also portraits, landsacpes and scupture. each artist produces 3 works some may all be religous some are a mix just keep your eye on the great people or look for a list online i am sure there is oen already.

No, those are relics, not religious art. cdburke specifically mentioned they knew how to get relics.

Sorry, my bad. You're right, I should have read it more thoroughly. Yes, I have received these as well, and they seem to be random.
