How do you buy stuff with FAITH?

HEllo i was wondering how and how i could be able to make use of my faith when all the religions are taken by others. I have a LOT of faith, and i wanna be able to buy buildings and units with it. but i cant. do i research something? do i need a shrine? i got one i think. any advice? if the answer is "no way in hell you cant" then why should i have +35 fath per turn for the rest of the game,, i dont see why i sould have 99999 faith at the end for no reason.

You need Theocracy to purchase units.

You can get some buildings based on your beliefs.

You can buy great people with faith if you have enough points.

Later you can get naturalists, but you can also buy units with theocracy, some buildings with specific beliefs or recruit great people (price goes down as you work towards a great person) with faith.

All the info above is helpful but may not answer your question. In the city center associated with the Holy District there is a button that allows you to purchase holy men and some buildings. Then all of the above applies.

then how do i get rid of the faith income and make more gold or science instead?
once you got a shrine you cant remove it?

Ah thank god, i thought you had to find a religion to purchase unit with faith. I didn't know of the 4 religion limit... I'm not without a religion

You can use faith to rush great people as well.

I do think we should be able to purchase/create Holy Relics with Faith. We can buy Great people that make great works of art with Faith, but cannot buy Holy Relics.

But yeah, if you have a Holy site, hover over the town. toward the right, there is a tab with white wings. There you can purchase with faith.

I managed to buy land units with faith when i had that Theocracy.. it was great. thanks for the tip!

After Rise & Fall expansion, purchasing combat units with faith requires the Grand Master's Chapel built in your Government Plaza.

Can you share what's the process? I do see them in units and the faith needed to buy them as well but there is no button to actually go through with the purchase like all the other units and buildings even though I got the informationessage that I have enough faith to buy them now

This is an example of what the UI should look like if you are trying to buy units with faith. Make sure you have built a Government Plaza and the Grandmaster's Chapel if playing with the expansions or are in the Theocracy government if playing without them.
