I have a i3770k and it loads pretty good.
More importantly, look at your storage. Hard drives will take multiple minutes on avg, ssds will drop that to under a minute, and nvme storage will make it a much less noticeable event in your life.
As of now, loading a late game huge map will take me about 20 seconds with the 5800x and nvme gen 4 drive.

Hard to find one I trust. Just like Shingled HDD. The firmware is, questionable at best.

for guys who wanted to read but don't know how to get around the pay wall xd
AI fast battles, no AI messages, no history timeline, no wonder visual, no AI trade. Turn off score/religious victory and make a pool of civs without religious AI (they take the longest to load, are garbage, and wont ever win anyways).
Still looking for something to fix the the camera movement to match the UI (says pick production on a city, but moves to a unit instead with the city menu up).
